Rockfield Technologies Australia is a Queensland based engineering consultancy that provides professional engineering services across a broad range of disciplines including mechanical, structural and geotechnical.
Rockfield's specific engineering services include:
- certified design and design audits
- predictive engineering studies, in the form of fatigue and investigative root cause analysis
- finite element analysis and discrete element modelling
- engineering measurement and testing (i.e, on-site strain gauging, displacement and accelerometers)
- kinematic modelling and drafting.
Rockfield's engineers specialise in the application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Discrete Element Methods (DEM) to industry problems. The company has been involved in modelling a wide variety of structural and mechanical component problems for industry in Australasia since 2000. Our parent company, Rockfield Software Ltd (UK) has been conducting computational modelling studies since 1985, with world class results.
Our experience base includes work with Xstrata, Ergon Energy, Main Roads, CSR Sugar, Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal, ALCENG, Wesfarmers, SEBBA International and a large variety of manufacturing firms in the QLD region. We have capacity to conduct focused and timely experimentation if specialist material investigations or design audits are required. The provision of 'R&D type' solutions in compressed industry timeframes is a trademark of our service and a direct result of the strong academic qualifications and practical skills of our staff.
