Design Engineer (Civil / Structural)


The position will suit a highly motivated person with relevant skills looking for an opportunity to broaden their experience in a well established collegial team. The position will provide opportunity to work on a variety of engineering projects, including industrial structure design, concrete remediation and structural retrofitting. 
 
 

 

The successful applicant will have freedom to take the initiative in their own work, whilst having the support of an international network of engineers and scientists. Selection criteria to be addressed in your application are: 

1) Professional Qualifications (a Bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) in either civil or mechanical engineering).

2) Experience in the use of computational engineering tools, such as Microstran, Spacegass and FEA tools. Experience in AutoCAD will be highly regarded.

3) Skills in design with an ability to apply knowledge to solve challenging technical problems.

4) Good understanding of engineering principles and ability to use and interpret Standards relevant to industry requirements.

5) Project management abilities.

6) Ability to conduct detailed independent research to assist problem solving.

7) Personal attributes including; flexibility and adaptability with changing demands and technology, a proactive nature and self starter, capable of working cooperatively in a team environment, and strong written and oral communication skills.
