Aged Structures - Fatigue Life Assessment

RTA provides fatigue life assessment of machine structures, based on proposed duty cycles and/or historical data. Related projects include wagon chassis structures, wagon tipplers and container cranes. The outcomes resulting from RTA's fatigue life assessment include the current risk of fatigue failures within the structure and forecasts of how this risk is expected to change over the remainder of the desired service life. To accompany this information, focused inspection regimes have been developed to assist with the continued management of the asset in question.  Rockfield has also provided design solutions to ensure extended duty and safe operation over the period of desired service.
