Investigative Engineering (Root Cause Analysis)

Rockfield has adapted their knowledge of materials, metallurgy and practical engineering analysis to combine with high technology tools (FEA) to conduct investigative analysis of mechanical and structural failures.

RTA's experience in this field has extended to hydraulic cylinder failures, large and small cast component failures, concrete beam structures and product defect analysis. 

Rockfield complements their investigative engineering service with a range of physical material testing capabilities (tensile testing, bending, hardness, Charpy impact), together with forensic analysis using scanning electron microscope and X-ray fluorescence technology.
